Day 1 wasnt so bad. Coffee in bed was black, which thankfully is drinkable. I then needed to start thinking about foods i need to eliminate. I am was suprised how much stuff has dairy or soya in it.
So a trip to tescos and i now have rice milk and oat milk.
The rice milk is very sweet. It is great for making porridge with and i dont have to add extra sugar! Its is ok in coffee but gets a little sweet after drinking half a cup of coffee with it in.
Also going dairy free means we are having to think more carefully what we eat and are actually going to eat healthier from now on.
I wont notice any effects on my diet with Adam for about a week.

A little background
Adam has been a generally miserable baby. He would scream after every feed. Initally i put it down to problems with breastfeeding. this was sorted out within a week of him being born. I was given domperidone to help boost my milk supply. With a good milk supply Adam was still not settled after each feed.
I began to notice that his head was turning only to the left hand side so took him to see a chiropractor and then our GP. The GP sent us the the paedatric unit at our local hospital. He diagnosed him with having bracial plexus injury and also silent reflux
Adam was given infant gaviscon to help with the reflux. This worked a treat but saldy constipated him so we stopped the medication.
After having a long chat with my HV i have decided to go dairy free as the enzymes in dairy can affect relfux.
So as of Friday 13 March i will be going dairy free!
